While Pride celebrations may look a little different this year, POSE star and Emmy winner Billy Porter is taking to Instagram to celebrate his Black queerness, and is encouraging others to do the same.
Following a moving video posted on his Instagram earlier this month, Billy recently shared, “I celebrate my Black Pride by standing boldly in my authenticity. With every breath and action I take, I consciously choose my truth and I try to reveal that power through my art, my activism and my humanity.”
Similar to last year, when Billy stunned with his vibrant rainbow gown while toasting with a Ketel One cocktail, Billy once again is celebrating Pride with the vodka brand that’s been a long standing ally of the LGBTQ+ community. This time he’s opting for a Marvelous Martini poolside, showing his followers that being stuck at home doesn’t mean you can’t show your Pride.
In honor of Billy and LGBTQ+ people around the country, this Pride Ketel One Vodka donated $75,000 to the Transgender Law Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to keep trans and gender nonconforming people alive, thriving, and fighting for liberation.
