Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.
If you’re still brave, knock on the brick wall of a dusty attic three times and enter the spectral world of the eccentric bio-exorcist through the new immersive pop-up event, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice: The Afterlife Experience.”
The Afterlife Experience, located at the Ovation Hollywood, opened its door on August 23. Featuring meticulously recreated sets, live performances, and a variety of photo opportunities, fans will dive into the world of the recently departed. Visitors will start by knocking three times to reveal a portal, stepping into the Afterlife where Beetlejuice and a case of unique ghosts await. Guests can obtain an exclusive passport, relax in the Waiting Room next to spectral companions, pose with the Handbook for the Recently Deceased, encounter the iconic sandworm, and explore much more. The Afterlife Diner will offer themed food and drinks for purchase.
Guests can also purchase from a selection of limited-edition merchandise and collectibles inspired by the film’s distinctive imagery at the Afterlife Souvenir Shop, open to both ticketed and non-ticketed guests.
ABOUT “BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE”
Beetlejuice is making a comeback! Tim Burton, the Oscar-nominated visionary behind the original film and Oscar nominee Michael Keaton reunite for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the highly anticipated sequel to Burton’s award-winning classic. Keaton returns to his iconic role, joined by Oscar nominee Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and two-time Emmy winner Catherine O’ Hara as Delia Deetz. New cast members include Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, and Arthur Conti in his feature film debut, as well as Emmy nominee Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid, and Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe.
The story picks up after an unexpected family tragedy, bringing three generations of the Deetz family back to their home in Winter River. Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, stumbles upon a mysterious town model in the attic and accidentally opens a portal to the Afterlife. With chaos brewing in both worlds, it’s only a matter of time before someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times, summoning the mischievous demon to wreak his unique brand of havoc.
A Warner Bros. Pictures presentation, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” will hit theaters and IMAX on September 6, 2024, in the U.S., and internationally starting September 4, 2024, distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
