Rapper Rakim drops a new album after 15 years with the help from A&R extraordinaire M80. The first music video is called “Be iLL” just dropped and features rappers Kurupt and Wu-Tang’s Masta Killa. This got my attention immediately because of M80 going haywire with his marketing on Instagram. This reminds me a lot of myself with what I’m trying to do for my artists here in New Jersey. The only difference is that if you want to get something done you get M80 and not Kevin Dranoff.
M80 was able to help Rakim get all of the features together on this album called G.O.D. ‘s Network (Reb7rth). The album is stacked with features that cater to the guy who brought the rap game more complex flows as opposed to the basic old school style.
I always pride myself on finding good music, especially hip-hop and rap music. I want to thank M80 for bringing Rakim back to do this thing, making the music from scratch with the beats to the rhymes and even the scratches on the record. I can’t wait to see the next music video! In the meantime I’ve received the message which is to be ill and remain locked in to watch what Rakim and M80 do next. M80 has written on his Instagram that he plans on calling Eminem and Big Daddy Kane to help continue his run with Rakim.
