New Jersey (The Hollywood Times) 3/19/24 – I don’t always wake up and get blessed with the dopest music video I’ve seen in a while but when I do it feels great. Rapper Skrewtape does just that with his newest visual “Bag Appeal” featuring Philly rapper OT The Real. Skrewtape is somewhere between South Jersey and Philly.
For me Skrewtape is the ultimate artist because he is just himself. He is organic and doesn’t use marketing cheat codes like most of these new age rappers with gold chains and crazy haircuts. Skrewtape shows up with a bald cut like action star Jason Statham. He directed and edited this music video, and he holds no punches. Skrewtape has won me over big time with this video. At the time of writing this article the video has less than 1300 plays after being released over a month ago. I pride myself on finding obscure music that is better than some of these commercial artists who will blow 100K on a video. Skrewtape is extremely underrated, and he has a feature from one of the best up and coming rappers OT the REAL. This is exactly what I’d like to watch or listen to before throwing on the Sopranos or when I’m driving down I-95 to visit my family in Essex County.
