Liza Carbe

Liza Carbé received her Bachelor of Music degree from Cal State Northridge in music with emphasis on classical guitar and voice. She has toured and recorded with artists Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac, Leon Patillo from Santana, and the metal band Vixen. For the past twenty years she has been touring, composing, recording, and performing with her Billboard-charting world music group Incendio. Incendio can be heard on Spotify, Pandora, and all streaming platforms. Additionally, she also works with her husband Jean-Pierre Durand in their Spanish Guitar duo, Carbé and Durand. Together they have written music that has been used on hundreds of shows including the hit comedy movie Bridesmaids, Law and Order, Breaking Bad, Star Trek, the video game Far Cry 3 and many more. Liza and Jean-Pierre teach workshops on music and the music business at schools and festivals. They do work for PAC, The Prison Arts Collective, going into prisons and teaching music to the inmates to both support their focus and help prevent recidivism. Liza has been a journalist writing for The Hollywood Times for the past four years. Her writing interests are primarily in music, art, and science.
