Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 6/6/23– Sophie (Judy Greer) had always been a woman of strength, but the loss of her husband Mal (Edi Gathegi) had shattered her. She was barely keeping it together, struggling to balance her work and her daughter’s (Faithe Herman) needs. She had always been a skeptic, but when Mal’s best friend Jabir (Payman Maadi) told her about his latest invention, her doubts were replaced with a glimmer of hope.
Jabir had been working on a time-bending machine, and he believed it could bring Mal back to life. Sophie was both thrilled and terrified at the idea. Could she really travel through time and change the past? Was it even ethical to do so?
Despite her doubts, Sophie decided to take the risk. She knew that if this worked, her life would be restored to its former glory. She would have Mal back, and her daughter would have her father. It was an impossible choice, but Sophie knew she had to take it.
As Sophie and Jabir entered the time-bending machine, she felt a surge of uncertainty. Was this really going to work? Would she be able to handle the consequences of changing the past? But as the machine whirred to life, Sophie knew there was no turning back. When they emerged from the machine, Sophie was shocked to find herself face to face with Mal. He was alive and well, and her heart swelled with joy. But as they embraced, Sophie realized that something was off. Mal seemed different somehow, not quite the man she remembered. As they explored this new world, Sophie realized that changing the past had unforeseeable consequences.
Now the question is, Will she be trapped in this new reality forever? Will she lose it all?
