My friends and family always told me that Hollywood is an industry of predominately beautiful women, and the competition is very fierce. Relying on successful men to open doors is a delusion as there are so many stunning females. As you see I have proven many mistakes, but I still have my bucket list of jobs to attain. If you’re like me and are self-made not only, do you work hard but you also hope to find some powerful men that can open doors for you along the way.  When I was in my late 20’s that idea landed me on The Dr. Phil Show, which Dr. Phil told me I’m delusional and have grandiose thoughts. I am sure a lot of young hopeful women out their feel the same.  I proved Dr. Phil wrong and was blessed to have powerful men give me a helping hand a couple times throughout my career, which led me to success. I know you’re thinking “Casting Couch” but I am here to tell you quite the opposite.

When artists get together race, religion, sexuality, orientation, etc., that all goes out the door.  I believe industry events are the best place in the world for networking.  Lifelong friendships are created, business is done and even some romances spark from time to time, and we get “Lucky”. I am thankful to the entertainment industry for my social life and my professional life. I would like to share my new successful powerful male friends that I recently met, who want to help woman make their modeling and acting dreams a reality. I would like to introduce Aaron Madariaga (XOFROMSOHO.COM) & Rick Rodstrom – Powerful men who want to Empower Women, CEO of XOfromSoHo.com and handsome, talented actor and model Rick Rodstrom.

There was a rainstorm in Southern California but that would not stop fashion week in Los Angeles. People think it never rains in Southern California, but this year has been stormy. I love rain as the Jewish people say rain is lucky!  Fashion Week in Culver City brought me a new job and two new male friends!

My first new friend is Aaron Madariaga (XOFROMSOHO.COM) & Rick Rodstrom – Powerful men who want to Empower Women who is the CEO of XOfromSoHo which is a fashion line of very sexy, glamorous woman’s clothing (dresses, workout apparel and swimwear). He asked me to be a spokesmodel for his company and I immediately signed on. He is looking for other models of various backgrounds and body styles, so ladies reach out to him. Aaron wants to empower woman by making them all super glamorous and feeling sexy as he conveyed to me.

My other new friend is Rick Rodstrom.  Yes ladies, the spellcheck is right it’s not Nordstorm even though he looks like Mr. Nordstrom.  Rick is a typical James Bond! Tall, handsome and very charismatic. He almost charmed the pants off me and my friends. He is so suave and sweet. Rick is not only an actor and a model but he also a musician. He is recreating his rock album. I did a Q&A with him and here ladies are his answers. He is single by way!

What dream role in 2024?

Rick: I would love to have; would be becoming the new James Bond, replacing Daniel Craig; who was a truly fresh and dynamic Bond.

How important is chemistry to you?

Rick: Chemistry is so important in any relationship, I feel. It cannot be faked or created; it’s either there or it’s not. The feeling of chemistry with that one special person; is absolutely incredible.

A lot of women get scared dating male actors because you never know his true intentions and if they are a real actor than how can a woman know her man is being real?

Rick: It’s very understandable that women would be scared dating male actors. It really depends on the integrity of the male actor they are dating. Is he a player or is he honest? My advice is to ask friends about him that know him or women that have dated him in the past, to find out what he is really like. Other than that, only by his actions, not his words and time; will you know if you can trust him.

What is the biggest turn on for you in a female and turn off?

Rick: My biggest turn on with females is; a few things. Are they good kissers; if they are, things will get very exciting. Do they dress sexy and classy; that’s a big turn on. I have a thing about beautiful hair on a female; love that.

Who taught you to be such a great gentleman?

Rick: Well thank you very much. My parents taught me a lot, I’m a Navy brat. I respect ladies and like to treat them well; those that deserve it. I would like to call myself a cosmopolitan man. I am a gentleman where I need to be a gentleman.

I am a co-dependent female (I’m honest).  I love to be successful myself but love to have a man that can help or is willing to help along the way. I don’t think I would be where I am if I did not have powerhouse men helping me, not doing it for me. There is a difference!  Most of the Executives in our industry are still men. Although us women are coming along. There are good men out their like Aaron and Rick who want to empower women and make their dreams a reality based on talent and friendship. I see Hollywood men sometimes get a bad rap, I am “Only Josie Knows” and I am here to tell you that there are powerful men who can and will open doors for you!

Never give up, and reach out too Aaron and Rick
