A New Horror Classic is Born with Ash and Bone!

” ‘I’d put that movie up against any of the horror movies I see on any of the big streamers,’ that was a comment that really stuck with me after the premiere,” said Wallen. “I knew we had something very special, but it’s like looking at your own kid and they’re the prettiest kid you ever saw…How do you know?!? That premiere told me all I needed to know, the way they lived with every scene and character told me what I felt was real, we have something very special here.”

Ash and Bone is directed by Harley Wallen, written by Bret Miller and stars Jamie Bernadette (I Spit on Your Grave: Deja vu), Angelina Danielle Cama (An Intrusion), Harley Wallen (Tale of Tails), Kaiti Wallen (Agramon’s Gate), Erika Hoveland (Before I Wake), Jimmy Doom (Kill the Irishman) and Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s Game of Death).

Wallen who also made the supernatural thriller Agramon’s Gate in honor of those style films that inspired him such as The Exorcist and Poltergeist etc., now gives a nod towards another era and style of horror films with Ash and Bone leaning towards the early 2000’s such as Wrong Turn, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and House of Wax.

Celebrities in attendance were Sean Whalen (Twister), Yan Birch (Wes Craven’s The People Under the Stairs), Hollywood Walk of Fame Awardee Kate Linder (The Young and the Restless), Deep Roy (Star Trek) and Shawntay Dalon (Detroiters). Other VIP’s in attendance were the film’s stars Harley Wallen (Tale of Tails), Kaiti Wallen (Eternal Code) and Blanca Blanco (Betrayed). Also in attendance were celebs Dustin Ferguson (Apex Predators), Jimmy Drain (The Initiation), Debra Lamb (Tales from the Campfire 2), Lisa London (H.O.T.S), Iyad Hajjaj (Ms. Marvel), prominent entrepreneur and community activist Saul Mejia (President of the Panorama City Chamber of Commerce) and many others.

Ash and Bone was celebrated at film festivals around the globe with wins at WXSA Barcelona, Vesuvius International Film Festival, Top Indie Film Awards, Paris Play Film Festival and it was nominated at Atlanta Horror Film Festival, Mindfield, Fright Night, The Magic of Horror, Fright Nights and Shockfest to name a few. Ash and Bone will have its wide release on October 18th.

“I felt like a lot of things came together on this film and I could feel that both my cast and crew knew there was a lot of potential with it and they really came through!” said Wallen.
