Two-Time Golden Globe nominee, Aileen Quinn, best known for her performance in the title role of the 1982 hit movie musical ANNIE will be greeting fans and signing autographs at the Palm Springs Cultural Center from 5:30 to 7pm this Saturday, July 23rd.
This special appearance will be held upstairs in the VIP Lounge, with happy hour drink specials and the Mildred’s Cafe menu available for order. The lobby will feature the musical stylings of Nunzio Sisto’s Piano Bar.
The meet and greet will be followed by a special sing-along screening of ANNIE at 7pm. This event is part of the Cultural Center’s Summer Sing-a-long Series, presented jointly with the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus.

ANNIE (1982): An orphan in a facility run by the mean Miss Hannigan (Carol Burnett), Annie (Aileen Quinn) believes that her parents left her there by mistake. When a rich man named Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks (Albert Finney) decides to let an orphan live at his home to promote his image, Annie is selected. While Annie gets accustomed to living in Warbucks’ mansion, she still longs to meet her parents. So Warbucks announces a search for them and a reward, which brings out many frauds.
About Aileen Quin:
Two-Time Golden Globe nominee, Aileen Quinn, is best known for her performance in the title role of the 1982 film “Annie”, directed by John Huston and also starring Carol Burnett and Albert Finney. In addition to her Golden Globe nominations, she was awarded “Best Actor” by the Youth in Film Awards. Aileen has also recorded two albums with Columbia Records: The multi-platinum selling “Annie” Soundtrack, and a solo album, “Bobby’s Girl”, produced by legendary Barbara Streisand and Dolly Parton Producer, Gary Klein. She made her Broadway debut at age 8 in “Annie” as an Orphan. For decades, she has continued being a triple threat performer, acting, singing, and dancing on Broadway, O4 Broadway, Broadway National Tours, Regional Theatre, Films, Television, Commercials, Animation and Voiceovers. Currently, Aileen performs as the Lead Singer and Co-Founding Member of “Aileen Quinn and the Leapin’ Lizards” band in the styles of Rockabilly, Swing and Blues. She leads her group with her soulful and sassy vocals, performing tunes from the Roaring 20’s through the Rocking and Swinging 50’s and 60’s. About the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus:
Since 1999, PSGMC has given back to its community through anti-bullying grants, collecting household items and holiday children’s holiday toys for Martha’s Village & Kitchen, and singing at Desert AIDS Walk and the opening of the LGBT Community Center. In addition, the chorus has performed for PS Pride, Cathedral City LGBT Days, and Halloween Palm Springs on Arenas Road in addition to two full concerts per year in December and April. In November 2016, PSGMC was recognized as the Organization of the Year by Palm Springs Pride. Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus continues to be, A Chorus Like No Other!
