New Jersey (The Hollywood Times) 1/25/22 – Aziz Ansari will probably never surface into the mainstream popularity that we were used to seeing him in before he was hit with sexual assault allegations back in 2018. However, he is resurfacing on Netflix with his new special “Nightclub Comedian”. Rotten Tomatoes pegs it as “After another year of lockdowns, Aziz takes the stage to skewer pandemic life, quarantines, vaccine cards, celebrity side-gigs, smartphones and more.” The setting in which Aziz returns to the spotlight is fitting and humbling for someone who used to perform in front of a much larger audience.
