Serving only California grown and produced chicken and produce, the menu offers an assortment of ways to have your chicken – – plates, bowls, sandwiches and sides.
Set in the popular location of West Hollywood, the spot is easy to find with its teal exterior and street front seating. Once inside, you are instantly greeted by friendly servers and a spinning rotisserie. The offerings are simple and easy, allowing guests to customize to ensure they get the chicken meal they want.
Seeking to be a healthier-style of comfort food, Byrdie’s offers a variety of vegetables as sides items, including broccolini, street corn and cauliflower to name a few, in addition to heartier choices like their truffle mac and cheese.
Come hungry because the portions are plentiful and generous. The chicken is as flavorful as it comes, going through an extensive marinating and seasoning process. Chef Hillel explains, “I set out to create a spectacular rotisserie chicken recipe. Something that combined the flavors I grew up with, and something deeply soulful, modern and versatile that complements our sauces and toppings.” The authentic flavor is evident, as each bite represents the 13-spice blend that includes turmeric, garlic, thyme, smoked paprika, za’atar and more that are labeled “secret.”
Beverage options include cans of sparkling water and sodas or you can try one of their own creations such as Peach Ginger Tea or Strawberry Lemonade.
And if you need any more incentive to stop in, for every meal purchased, one meal will be donated to a child in need through the restaurant’s partnership with The LA Regional Food Bank, which Robert Kronfli has sat on as a long-term board member.
