NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 20, 2020) – Country music songwriter and performing artist, Taylon Hope, has released a new Christmas single in time for the holiday season titled, “My Christmas Lights.” The song was penned by Hope and Bill DiLuigi with studio production by acclaimed music producer, Kent Wells in Nashville. The new magical Christmas music is available for download and streaming on all digital music platforms here.

The lyrics tell a story about a couple in love enjoying the simple things together about Christmas and not having to worry about everything going on in the world right now, but being able to appreciate the time they have together. As Taylon and Bill wrote the song, they imagined a beautiful couple walking through the snow along abandoned streets decorated with many Christmas lights. Their goal was to create a beautiful song for others to share with that special someone during the holiday season and forget all of the craziness of this year, enjoy some magic and remember what matters most!

“2020 has been such a hard year for everyone and with Covid-19 I have been writing non stop. I love Christmas time as it brings about such a time of Peace, Hope, and Family, some things we all need this year so much! I admit I am a hopeless romantic and I watch all the movies at Christmas time,” shared Taylon Hope. “Kent Wells and I sat down to work on the song and we slowed down the beginning then started adding the magic of sleigh bells, from there it just took on this magic that we all loved so much! The writing and the production just came together so perfect on this one! The song turned out just as I had imagined it.”

“I really love Taylon’s new song for the holidays and it was a joy working on it with her ! She is emerging as one of Nashville’s finest young singers and writers!” exclaimed Producer, Kent Wells.

Co-writer Bill DiLuigi adds, “It was September and that’s a little late to write Christmas songs .We are usually done in July! Taylon had the title “My Christmas Lights.” and I thought it was a great idea, especially this year when some of the big public displays will probably be eliminated or minimized. So why not break it down to one on one with the person you love and “get lost in the wonder” as they say!”

“…It’s a good night for walkin’ in the snow oh oh oh oh
Put your hands in the pocket of my coat oh oh oh oh oh
We could buy a tree but we really don’t need one
We don’t have no mistletoe but it’s kissing season

Sure is cold but I don’t mind
To take you out and watch you shine
Without you it’s not Christmas time
Baby you’re baby you’re
Baby you’re my Christmas lights

My hearts on a string when we’re touching
I feel that electricity buzzin’
Baby tonight let’s get lost in each other
One look in your eyes I can see all the colors …”
