PALM SPRINGS, CA – Tuesday, July 14, 2026 – Swinerton Construction will begin work on Sunrise Way in the City of Palm Springs as part of the Palm Spring Public Library Renovation Project. This roadway work will allow for the expanded south parking lot, and a new driveway entrance (right turn in and out only) and includes a median. Sunrise Way will be reduced to a single lane between Baristo and Camino Parocela and there will be intermittent lane closures throughout the project.
The work will begin on July 20, 2026, and is projected to last through November 13, 2026. Working hours are 7:00am to 4:00 pm. During this time, Motorists are advised to expect delays, reduce speed in work zones, and follow all posted signage and directions from construction personnel. Alternative routes are advised during the time of construction to minimize impact.
