Dan Levy Netflix comedy Big Mistakes returns

Dan Levy makes his return to Netflix with the new comedy series Big Mistakes, now available for streaming. Last month Netflix hosted many Emmy and golden globe voters to exclusive private screening at Netflix’s Hollywood screening room, where the entire cast was present to discuss the series and celebrate the launch. The event featured a lively Q&A, immersive installations, and a festive party that brought together fans and industry insiders.

Big Mistakes follows two hapless siblings who are forced into the world of organized crime through blackmail, delivering a chaotic and hilarious family adventure. Dan Levy stars as Nicky and also serves as the showrunner and executive producer—his second original scripted project after the Emmy-winning Schitt’s Creek and his directorial debut Good Grief. Co-creator and executive producer Rachel Sennott, known for I Love LA and Bottoms, brings her creative vision, while Anne-Marie McGintee produces for Not a Real Production Company.

Set in the fictional New Jersey suburb of Glenview, the series was mainly filmed in Jersey City, with some scenes shot in San Juan, Puerto Rico, standing in for Miami’s waterfront and yacht scenes. The show offers a sharp, comedic look at family, crime, and chaos, blending humor with a wild family dynamic.

Big Mistakes has already been renewed for a second season, and Netflix has extended its partnership with Levy through a first-look deal for future projects. All eight episodes are now streaming exclusively on Netflix, inviting viewers into Levy’s uniquely funny and unpredictable world.
