Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/11/2025 On Saturday, July 19, 2025, Global Empowerment Mission will host its inaugural “Hire A Survivor” Job Fair, which will be integrated into a Recovery Pop-Up event in partnership with the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC). This innovative event, developed in collaboration with Los Angeles County, Senator Perez’s office, Supervisor Kathryn Barger, GoBiz, and other stakeholders, is designed to promote economic recovery by directly connecting survivors with employment opportunities. GEM underscores the importance of employment in facilitating financial recovery, which is essential for achieving long-term housing stability.
Michael Capponi, President and Founder of GEM, stated, “We are honored to support the people of Los Angeles County during their time of greatest need and remain steadfast in our commitment to rebuilding resilient and self-sufficient communities.” He emphasized that, while many organizations may provide short-term assistance, GEM’s ongoing strategic initiatives have continuously expanded, delivering vital aid, support, and resources to thousands of individuals in need.
