Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/7/25 – A well-known gated community in Los Feliz, home to Hollywood elite including Angelina Jolie, Kristen Bell, and Brie Larson, was the scene of an unexpected security breach on Sunday, prompting a swift police response.
According to law enforcement sources, a man trespassed into the private neighborhood—an upscale enclave located just east of Hollywood—managing to bypass security gates and enter a restricted area near the residence shared by actors Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. Fortunately, neither Bell nor Shepard was home at the time.
Alerted by private security personnel and vigilant neighbors, LAPD officers quickly arrived on the scene. Sources say the suspect, who is reportedly known to authorities for previous trespassing incidents, attempted to flee but was apprehended shortly thereafter.
Footage posted on the Citizen safety app shows officers detaining the man, with part of the arrest captured on video. Though the suspect did not gain entry to any of the homes, the incident has reignited concerns about the growing trend of trespassing and home invasions targeting high-profile individuals in Los Angeles.
The Los Feliz area, often referred to as a celebrity haven, is also home to Oscar-winner Brie Larson and internationally renowned actress Angelina Jolie. In recent years, numerous celebrities in the city have faced similar security threats. Just weeks ago, Brad Pitt—Jolie’s former spouse—was targeted by an intruder while he was away in Tokyo.
No injuries or property damage were reported, but the incident serves as a stark reminder of the growing challenges of maintaining privacy and safety in neighborhoods that attract global attention.
