The Academy Awards also known as “The Oscars” are annual awards presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to recognize cinematic achievements. In my experience, Oscars Weekend is a time where if you have worked hard all year, you will get some “Luck” and be invited to a party that really you did not earn but rather the industry is giving you a little gift back. Most Entertainers and people of influence try to include the 99 percent of hard-working hopefuls in our industry who are working their way to the top. I know its cliché but “The OSCARS” is the one weekend a year that really is magical and I have personally seen many entertainers including myself get some “Lucky Breaks” with some amazing red carpet invites where I have gotten amazing pictures from A-list media photographer, made life changing career connections and been gifted some fabulous (SWAG) (Promotional Items that are branded with a company Logo or slogan distributed at no cost).
I remember when I first started my career as a reality tv personality & Playboy Model, I got an exclusive invite to walk the red carpet and be a guest at A Night of 100 Stars Awards Gala hosted by Norby Walters at the Iconic Beverly Hills Hotel. I asked my contact how did you find me? I said I am not in any movies and what will I tell the press on the red carpet? He said, Oscars are about celebrating all different types of talent and one never knows Josie, you might end up on the big screen one day. Of course, I accepted and from that day on I always celebrate Oscars. It’s ironic because for other awards shows one usually needs to be in that specific industry or else you’re not included but “OSCARS” includes all talent, maybe because it’s the most prestigious award show and final ultimate goal to one day win an Oscar.
As you all know I am “Only Josie Knows” and I have evolved into a new career. I am field reporter and a Journalist for the The Hollywood Times. I was very lucky to get invited to cover one of the top gifting suites at Luxe Hotel for DPA Group. As I am building my career from the ground up it’s taken me some time, as before I built my career on network television shows and made my mark fast. I met the Owner of DPA Group, Nathalie Dubois back at Cannes Film Festival in 2024, and my field reporting at her “Gift Lounge“ at Cannes Film Festival did not go over so smooth. I could tell she was annoyed with me. It was my first time covering a Gifting suite, so I really did not know the protocol. Nathalie’s company DPA GROUP is the world’s number one global brand execution platform. I must admit I was not up to par at Cannes, so I was so excited that Nathalie gave me another chance at such an exclusive venue at her Oscars Gifting Lounge. This is an example of how miracles happen. Since Cannes Film Festival, I have been going to hosting classes and training, as well as covering many events and product previews. This time I came with my A list game. I believe I improved my interviewing skills, but there was one brand I got too excited on and spent a little too much time on, that Nathalie had to physically move me along because I could not move to the next vendor to interview. I was in complete shock with Animal Communicator Keao. Love on how she knew what happened to my past thoroughbred racehorses. She impressed me!!!!!

When I first met Nathalie in person at Cannes, I felt she did not like me, because she was annoyed by my behavior. Cannes gifting suite for me was a disaster. I was there for no more than 15 minutes and shuffled out. Since she is not American, she told me what she expects from Press and how she wants her events to go. Most in the industry will smile to your face and never invite you again to their event. I listened to Nathalie and tried to the best of my ability to listen to her, but with Animal Communicator KEOA.LOVE. I went to Josie la la land.
Since I am also a TV personality it’s hard to find balance when I get too excited. I did make my mark in this industry due to my big personality. However, as a journalist I am learning to be seen and not heard too much. I think more doors are opening as I am learning to tone them down! But all in all, I feel I was able to execute most brands and products, and I hope you my viewers will enjoy the A list DPA “Gifting Suite” Oscars 2025 that I can share with you, especially I got some behind the scenes interesting information.
