Los Angeles, California (The Hollywood Times) 12/12/2024

Ohio native country music artist Rick George has announced his self-titled debut, sharing his personal experiences of being born and raised along the Rust Belt crafting stories and songs that paint a picture of everyday life that listeners can relate to such as when he met his wife, raising a family together, and all the experiences that come with it. George has been blessed enough to reach a point where you can understand your past and put your best foot forward. The music is a combination of nostalgia, retrospect, and accomplishment. The new single is available on all digital music platforms HERE.

Putting stories, emotions, and memories into song form can make you weary in the best way possible because it means something to you. I’m excited to share these songs finally and hope they mean something to others.

The Hollywood Times had the opportunity to speak with Rick George about his new 5 song self-entitled EP.  Enjoy:

“Working with Rick was a pleasure. He’s a real professional who is clear about who he is and what he wants as an artist.” – Dean Miller.

About Rick George:
A Pittsburgh native and current resident of Dayton, Ohio, Rick George draws on his experiences of being born and raised along the Rust Belt to craft stories and songs that paint a picture of everyday life that all of us can relate to. Using his influences in classic country, folk, and Americana, Rick has created a style he’s proud to call his own and shares it with venues, homes, bars, and listening rooms big or small. Rick’s debut single, “Drinking and Dreaming,” is his take on the Waylon Jennings classic. The song was produced by Dean Miller (son of Country Music Hall Of Fame Inductee Roger Miller) and features Melonie Cannon.
The song “Here We Are” was written about how young love turns to old love so fast and how so many things, good and difficult, happen between that time. Suddenly, it’s been 20, 40, 60 years, and you take time to reflect on that life and be thankful. I hope people take away whatever is important to them, as people interpret songs differently. Listeners may think of relationships they’ve had and have and take a minute to appreciate experiencing life together, often drawing on personal experiences when writing lyrics that mean a great deal to him. Rick is planning to release his full debut album in 2025. He has shared the stage with music icons David Allan Coe, Kendell Marvel, Country Legends Festival: Tracey Lawrence, Diamond Rio, Chris Cagle, and Blackhawk.
