As an American Idol watcher, I was so excited to hear the news that Carrie Underwood was the superstar who was replacing Katy Perry. Way to go ABC and Carrie Underwood.
Carrie’s husband Mike Fisher will find himself as a single parent during the times Carrie will have to be away filming the next season of American Idol, Spring 2025. Their sons Jacob, eight, and Isaiah, five will most likely love having daddy around for all those male bounding and adventures days.

Carrie’s role on Idol was announced last week and in celebration, she shared an emotional video that looked back over the last two decades of her career since her win in 2005.

“I went from no one knowing my name to tens of millions of people watching the show,” she said in the video, adding that she was “so proud of everything I was able to accomplish on the show and I am so proud of everything I have accomplished since.”
