Friends of John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino showed up Thursday night at The Hollywood Museum to congratulate the newlyweds with a red carpet event and beautiful and loving toast of congratulations inside. Donelle Dadigan, the founder and president of The Hollywood Museum did an awesome job putting this wedding celebration for the blessed couple together. The couple actually met at an event held at the museum Donelle said. That fact brought a great deal of happiness to Donelle and many of the stars who were there that night John and Dee Dee met.
Here is video of some interviews at the red carpet:
A few photos from outside the Hollywood Museum:
Once everyone made it inside, especially John and Dee Dee, which wasn’t so easy for John’s PR guy Roger, but they finally made their way inside and took their place at a table reserved just for the newlyweds. Everyone was served some champagne to be prepared for the toast(s) to come. The many round tables were decorated with gold table clothes and a beautiful light colored flower bouquet as the centerpiece.
Here is a video of several of the toast that were given that night and at the end John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino Schneider say a few words of thanks. John told us, “don’t get out here without giving us a hug.” He didn’t have to tell me twice. A couple of pictures of that hug to follow after the video.
Here are some picture I took of inside, where the party was held:
It was a great party indeed, Hollywood style with the newlyweds and their friends with a few media outlets as well. Thank you to Roger for allow The Hollywood Times to be part of this event and we love covering all thing happening at The Hollywood Museum. We all want to wish the lucky couple, who found love again the best new life together as husband and wife and we can’t wait to see all the things they do together. God bless them both always.
John Schneider, 64 old actor/musician tied the knot with Dee Dee Sorvino, (55), in Las Vegas, following the recent loss of both their spouses within the past two years.
John posted this on his Facebook page: ‘Big news big news everybody! DeeDee and I got hitched last night in Vegas!,’ John wrote on his Facebook.
“Those of you who’ve been riding shotgun with me this last year and a half or so can understand that I never dreamed that happiness would be possible again.”
“I’m here to tell you that you are stronger than you think! And those folks who have gone on ahead are absolutely not only watching from above… but giving us the necessary small nudge… and the occasional kick in the butt to do the right things!” I honestly never thought I would ever laugh again… and now I laugh all the time. Thanks DeeDee! Thanks, Paul!! Thanks, Alicia!!! The last year has been pretty wonderful. But the year before that was really rough, but God pays attention. God sent a widower to a widow.”
John recently said that part of his healing process after Alicia’s death was to write a new album We Are Still Us to honor her, even though it tested him.
