Phoenix, AZ (The Hollywood Times) 6/21/24 – From the esteemed, award-winning director whose eclectic vision gave audiences Cristy Code Red: Diaries of Madness, Vlad Yudin presents audiences with yet another profound and dynamic work, Robby Robinson’s Blueprint, which delves into Robinson’s life today, highlighting his unexpectedly profound friendship with entrepreneur Tim Taylor. What began as a four-day training session blossomed into a deep, transformative relationship, with Robinson sharing his private world and unparalleled fitness expertise. This bond led to the creation of the 6-Step Blueprint, encapsulating half a century of Robinson’s wisdom. Robby Robinson’s Blueprint offers an unprecedented look at the life, mastery, and enduring legacy of a true bodybuilding titan.
What is a true legacy made out of? Is it hard work and dedication, or is legacy made up of something more? For Robby, it is arguably much deeper than simple hard work. The body, the muscle, the lifestyle that Robby has maintained most of his life can all be attributed to the power of the mind. Yudin declares, “Robby spent his whole life, even when he was a kid, analyzing and studying his mind. He’s 78 years old and his body is in perfect shape. Over the years he has put his knowledge into these 6 steps and the mental connection to the muscles is huge. Many would argue that it begins with mental connection and ends with mental connection as well, it’s a huge component.”

Outside of the 6 steps, Robby is simply in love with Bodybuilding as a sport. Yudin continues, “Once he fell in love with body building, that became Robby’s life. He loved it and still does. Obviously, he is not in a bodybuilding space right now, but he follows it, analyzes it, and he critiques it; it’s part of his entire identity.”
Despite being a significant trailblazer in the industry and becoming increasingly reclusive over the years, Robby continues to earn immense respect from both his peers and newcomers to the sport. Yudin explains, “Robby is a figure that is respected by body builders. The 70s and 80s are when he was competing and unfortunately as time passes unless by social media, you often get left out of the conversation. Also, Robby doesn’t hold back; if he has something to say he will say it and that can sometimes rub people the wrong way. That could be a reason why he has been avoided a bit in this industry. Generally speaking, people in the Bodybuilding community have a lot of respect for him.”
Vlad Yudin masterfully captures the essence of a bodybuilding legend whose influence extends far beyond physical achievements. This documentary not only celebrates Robinson’s enduring legacy but also emphasizes the mental fortitude that has driven his success. As Yudin brilliantly illustrates, Robinson’s lifelong passion for bodybuilding and his relentless pursuit of excellence continue to inspire both seasoned athletes and new enthusiasts. Robby Robinson’s Blueprint stands as a testament to the enduring spirit and transformative power of one of bodybuilding’s most respected figures.
