Del Shores’ Sordid Lives
Palm Canyon Theatre presents Del Shores’ Sordid Lives playing from January 19–28. The playwright himself, Del Shores will be in attendance on Saturday, January 20 doing a Q&A with the entire cast after the show. When Peggy, a good Christian woman, hits her head on the sink and bleeds to death after tripping over her lover’s wooden legs in a motel room, three generations of a family gather in a small Texas town for her funeral. Agua Caliente Cultural Museum
With clouds and a chance of rain in the forecast for this weekend, it’s a great time to visit one of the newest and finest attractions in the Coachella Valley, the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum in downtown Palm Springs, open Tuesday–Sunday from 10 am–5 pm. Dedicated to the history and culture of the Agua Caliente People, the nearly 10,000-square-foot Permanent Gallery is divided into five exhibition areas that each offer a unique piece of the Agua Caliente story, from legendary beginnings to modern times.
